Most people come to Hue to see this Unesco World Heritage site, the fortress of Nguyen dynansty (Citadel) built around middle of 1800. For me they are bricks and old.
Admission fee is 150,000 Dong and you might need at lease half a day to appreciateĀ them all inside with a frequent break.
Hue gets really hot and humid in August so you can come here after sunset as there is an evening tour at 7 PM when the buildings get lit up.
Lots of exhibitions and gift shops are inside.
And it is grand with the weight of history.
I can’t handle this heat and decide to find a way out.
You will come through the southern gate and exit to the eastern gate.
On you way out, there is a coffee shop called Palm cafe. Sit in for an iced fin coffee at 10,000 Dong.
Ruins and pagodas are again not my cup of tea.
